The Smallest Travel CPAP Machine Available

The most immediate impression made by the new ResMed AirMini™ Travel CPAP is its physical size. Registering dimensions of 5.4 x 3.3 x 2.1 inches, the AirMini™ is the smallest CPAP machine available on the market. And that small size comes with a correspondingly diminutive weight at a mere 10.6 ounces. In other words, the ResMed AirMini™ weighs a little more than half a pound and is literally a handheld CPAP device. Sleep therapy has never been so portable.

Full-Size Performance with Advanced CPAP Features

The AirMini™’s small stature may be the big first impression but its tiny size masks a potency and versatility that larger machines would covet. The AirMini™ can deliver the required performance of a full-sized CPAP machine for a broad range of pressure levels, including high-pressure prescriptions. And the AirMini™ offers variable therapy settings, including standard fixed-pressure CPAP as well as the same auto-adjusting AutoSet™ and AutoSet for Her programs utilized by ResMed’s AirSense 10 lineup. That means the AirMini™ not only offers the performance of a regular full-size PAP machine, but it also offers the specialized performance of three separate full-sized ResMed models!

The ResMed AirMini™ also provides a slew of advanced CPAP features common to larger machines. These include adjustable Ramp Time, which initiates therapy at a reduced pressure that gradually increases to the full prescribed pressure to gently guide patients into sleep. Another comfort-enhancing feature is Pressure Relief (enabled by the patient’s provider), which reduces pressure during exhalation. The AirMini™ also offers the SmartStart and SmartStop features, which, as the name implies, can start and stop therapy automatically by detecting the patient’s breathing.

Compatible with ResMed AirFit F20/F30, N20 and P10 Masks

ResMed designed its new AirMini™ to integrate with the AirFit series of CPAP masks, including the F20 full face mask, N20 nasal mask and P10 nasal pillows (the AirMini™ also works with the AirTouch F20 mask). The ResMed masks require Setup packs to connect with the AirMini™, which includes a specialized mask connector and slim 15mm tubing. The N20 and P10 mask Setup packs also provide a compartment for ResMed’s HumidX/HumidX Plus waterless humidification inserts (see below). Existing F20/N20/P10 users can purchase AirMini™ Setup packs from Sleep Direct at the following links: - AirMini™ F20 Setup Pack

HumidX & HumidX Plus Waterless Humidification

ResMed incorporates the HumidX and HumidX Plus waterless humidification system into the AirMini™ with N20 and AirMini™ with P10 designs. The HumidX design is a heat-moisture exchanger (HME), an effective, practical solution to waterless humidification for CPAP therapy. An HME like the HumidX works by capturing the heat and moisture expelled during exhalation which is then released back during inhalation to naturally humidify the pressurized airflow. The standard HumidX offers baseline humidification levels for the majority of climates and sleeping environments. Meanwhile, the HumidX Plus humidifier inserts are specialized for low-humidity settings and dry environments. Both versions of the HumidX are available for purchase in packs of three and six from Sleep Direct.

AirMini App

One secret to the AirMini™’s compact design is its minimalist user interface on the machine, which is effectively only two buttons. One of these inputs is the Power button, while the other is the Bluetooth button, which connects the AirMini™ to your mobile device via the AirMini™ app. This innovative app turns a Bluetooth-equipped phone or tablet into the CPAP machine’s control panel, allowing users to select settings and customize their therapy experience. The AirMini™ app also allows patients to track their therapy, including both short- and long-term results.

Travel-Friendly Features and Accessories

The AirMini™ Travel CPAP comes ready for the road with several travel-friendly accessories available. The standard-issue travel pouch and exterior AC power supply are supplemented by the OPTIONAL accessory AirMini™ Travel Bag, AirMini™ Hard Case and an AirMini™ Mount System. ResMed is also continuing to develop accessories for the AirMini™, including a DC converter and external battery pack.

In the Box:

  • AirMini™ Travel CPAP machine
  • External 20W AC power supply
  • Drawstring travel pouch

Enjoy the benefits of your CPAP therapy when roaming away from home thanks to the lightweight, compact AirMini™ Travel CPAP from ResMed. Buy the ResMed AirMini™ Travel CPAP machine today at SleepDirect.com.

The P10 Mask Pack for AirMini™, the N20 with Setup Pack and the F20/F30 with Setup Pack are compatible with the AirMini™. To use another mask, you will need the Zephair Universal Adapter and a standard hose.

Great for European travel!

I bought the Airmini two years ago for use during foreign travel outside of the USA. The Airmini works like a charm with an of the shelf power adapter needed for the Euro/Italian power sources. I couldn’t tell the difference between my home based humidified Respironics System One and the Airmini with its nasal humidifiers. The Airmini is somewhat louder than the System One. But certainly not bothersome. It’s very light and easy to pack in the optional carrying case. I definitely would get the companion carrying case with compartments. Some airport security checks needed the main Airmini component taken out of the carry case for the x-ray machine. Repacking at security was a breeze with the right case. If you are planning multiple trips I would highly recommend investing in an Airmini.

9 out of 10

I was a bit doubtful about getting the expensive Air Mini, I normally use an Airsense 10 but was looking for a travel machine.

The Air Mini will now be my primary machine its simply amazing.

I read a lot of negative reviews about noise and for some reason people saying air from the vents. I find the Air Mini less noisy than my Airsense 10 and no air from the vents at all. There is a ver slight noise from the humidX chamber but really no more noisy than any CPAP machine.

As far as therapy results I am getting a much better AHI “events” score with the Air Mini than I get with the Airsense 10.

The machine is a dream to travel with I LOVE the bed mount kit and especially the easy mount for under the mattress makes using the Air Mini in a hotel a dream.

I used the unit on Premium economy seat power no problems at all. I read some negative about the power adaptor coming loose on aircraft due to the heavy power adaptor , its not that big just that all the weight is indeed on the socket so to speak. Solution , easy = I bought the shortest 2m extension I could, into the aircraft power I plugged the smallest adaptor plug I could find, that went into the extension and the end of the extension I put the Air Mini power adaptor … worked fine and very easy, easier than plugging the adapter into the seat power socket.

HumudiX works great. The only negative I give Resmed is that the APP only gives and very simple summary of your nights sleep results, there is no way to get detailed reports. The unit does upload your data to the cloud BUT customers have no access .. only the place you purchased the unit from can access the more details cloud info … THIS IS A BIG BIG mistake I think.. come on Resmed its 2018 you already have your cloud MYAIR solution give Air Mini users who are spending top dollar access to their information.

However I give the Air mini 9 out of 10 I love it … 1 point lost for no access to cloud data.

Good solution for even frequent travelers

I travel weekly for work (on average 45 weeks per year) and often for fun on the weekends...lugging my full sized CPAP around the world with me was such a nuisance. The AirMini has been a great replacement and does a great job in helping me to get a good night's sleep. The app is easy to use and provides good information (it connects to your device via bluetooth).

A few complaints I have with the product (and why the 4.0 rating instead of 5.0):

- The electrical plug and hose go in to the same end of the device which sometimes makes it awkward as you try and find a place on the nightstand and in getting the device to stay put

- The need to buy the 'mask setup' in a package instead of individually as you need pieces is quite a nuisance and expensive. Will be better if/when they offer the hose/mask/humidx filters separately.

- The hose is just a bit too short and a unique hose to the device. Would've been better if they used one of the existing 'standard' hoses.

Noisy Mask Adapter-Quiet machine

Very noisy P10 mask adapter compared to AirSense 10 masks. Sound resonates up the tube and no way to block it. Sounds like roar of heavy surf... OK if you are at a distance, but not in front of your face. Clearly a design compromise made to accommodate the Humidex system. Too bad, I Love everything else about the AirMini. Expensive mistake on my part, I don't think I can use it due to noise from the adapter.

Machine quiet, but hose is noisy

The cpap itself is pretty quiet other than the hose. The hose has a HumidX filter housing area that vents when the user exhales. It's too close to the mask section of the hose and you'll hear and feel air and slight moisture when you exhale if you're a back sleeper if using P10 mask. Would have been better if they put HumidX filter closer to the device or not at all. Find myself waking to the HumidX filter vent noise most times during the night even when using earplugs. I expected more from such an expensive device such as this. Have to get use to the over pressure btwn inhaling and exhaling, but that part is not a big deal.

Very nice, works great, so small fits into luggage so easly love it.

I was a little worried about spending the money for it, but now that I have it I am happy I did, easy to use looks well made, machine is quite when in use, no air blowing on your partners face, got a score of 96 the first night I used it. Thinking about using it as my every day machine.

Incredible for its size

I travel 35-40 weeks per year and have been watching and considering every travel apap that hits the market. I tried a Z1 but returned it after a week. I have spoken at length with users of pretty much everything out there. My normal machine is a Resmed s10, which I have been lugging all over the world. I received my Resmed Air Mini yesterday and after only 1 night I know that I have found my solution! The machine itself is almost COMPLETELY silent. The air pillow mask (P10) with a standard HumidX cartridge provides about the same level of humidity as my S10 on the "2" setting...perfect for me. Set up is EXTREMELY simple from an app you download. I use iPhone but they also have an Android app. The mask is ever so slightly noisier than with my S10 (low white noise, no Darth Vader). The unit took absolutely no getting used to. It is so small and light that my only concern is pulling it off of the nightstand. I happily deal with that to now have room in my carry on luggage for sneakers!
