Battery won't fully charge and discharges within a few days

I can't say I impressed. Maybe I got a bad battery. My battery takes 1-2 days to charge up. It blinks forever, or so it feels. Then if it sits for more than a week, it has lost most of its charge. I have tried to research the issue, but cannot find an explanation. So, I make the best of it.

SleepDirect says: Per the HDM support website, the Extended Life battery can take 10-12 hours to fully charge, and if the battery remains connected in the PowerShell the charge will deplete in 2-3 days. For advice on battery charge, you can read their recommendations here --

Long lasting battery

I bought this for an upcoming trip and took it on a test run. Managed to run it for 3 nights on one charge! That's impressive. I'm set for my trip now.
